Join our Team as GL Accountant in Prague to join our Czech Cluster
Purpose of the role:
The role of a GL Accountant is to manage and maintain the organization's financial records for Plzensky Prazdroj a.s., Czech Republic. This role also involves recording and reconciling financial transactions, preparing financial statements, analyzing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and general ledger (GL) reconciliations
- Handle Track(customer bonuses) daily accounting records and MEC related activities
- Execute SOX controls and provide support during internal and external audits
Requirements:
- Bachelor in Finance / Accounting or related.
- Min 3 years of experience in working in finance accounting, experience from shared services functions is advantageous.
- English at a professional level, Czech is an advantage.
- Open minded and cooperative personality
- Advanced excel skills, prior SAP/Blackline or equivalent is an advantage .

Functional overview
ABS encompass a broad range of financial activities designed to support businesses in their day-to-day financial operations, long-term planning, and compliance with regulations. These services are crucial for maintaining financial health, making informed decisions, and achieving the overall financial objectives of the organization. The key outputs of ABS are to provide accounting services including the summarizing and reporting of financial transactions of a business, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. ABS is also responsible to adhere to multi-jurisdiction financial regulations and reporting requirements, including ensuring compliance with these regulations and ensure accurate and timely reporting to relevant authorities. In addition to this, ABS is to use effectively use financial software and systems to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data security.
