We are looking for an experienced Identity & Microsoft 365 Platform Specialist who will take hands-on responsibility for our enterprise identity services and Microsoft 365 tenant-level controls. This is an opportunity to join an international digital environment, work with modern Microsoft technologies and contribute directly to the security, reliability and continuous improvement of our platforms.

Your purpose in the role

The Identity & Microsoft 365 Platform Specialist is responsible for the hands-on technical implementation, operation, and continuous improvement execution of AEI’s enterprise identity services (Active Directory, hybrid identity, Microsoft Entra ID) and Microsoft 365 tenant-level identity/security/compliance controls, operating under the strategy, roadmap, and governance defined by the Identity & Microsoft 365 Platform Product Owner.

The role acts as the primary technical escalation point (3rd line) for identity and tenant-control issues, ensures technical standards are applied consistently, and supports vendors by validating technical delivery quality against agreed patterns and controls.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint Online) and Microsoft Exchange (including on-premises components where applicable) is required to understand downstream dependency impacts and to troubleshoot identity/access/compliance issues affecting those services.

What you will be doing

1. Deliver Secure and Compliant Identity Technical Operations

Implement, administer, and support Active Directory (on-prem), hybrid identity, and Microsoft Entra ID configurations in line with platform standards, ensuring secure authentication, lifecycle accuracy, and auditable technical execution.

2. Execute and Safeguard Tenant-Level Controls

Implement and maintain approved Microsoft 365 tenant baselines, execute controlled changes through formal release processes, and proactively identify configuration drift, risks, or non-conformities.

3. Ensure Cross-Workload Authentication & Collaboration Integrity

Maintain dependency awareness across Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange to ensure identity, Conditional Access, and compliance controls function consistently across collaboration services, resolving defects and minimizing user impact.

4. Support Security, Compliance & Information Protection Controls

Configure and operate Microsoft Purview capabilities (sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, eDiscovery components) and provide technical audit evidence to support assurance and remediation activities.

5. Maintain Operational Reliability & Incident Excellence

Act as 3rd line escalation for identity and tenant-control incidents, perform deep troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, contribute to problem management, and provide meaningful operational metrics for KPI/SLO reporting.

6. Strengthen Technical Governance, Vendor Oversight & Knowledge Resilience

Coordinate with managed service partners to ensure quality and standards alignment, maintain accurate documentation and runbooks, and contribute to continuous improvement to reduce operational and key-person risk.

What you will bring

  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory (on-prem), domain trust and hybrid identity administration.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure services DNS, DHCP.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA/passwordless, authentication methods, identity integrations, Identity management and B2C / B2B collaboration models.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tenant architecture and tenant-level configuration dependencies.
  • Some experience and knowledge of Microsoft Collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online, to support identity, access and compliance integrations and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience supporting and administering Microsoft Exchange service in Hybrid configuration, including mail flow, transport rules, connectors, certificates, hybrid configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Practical experience implementing Microsoft Purview controls, including sensitivity labels/policies, DLP configurations, eDiscovery readiness components and retention configurations where applicable.
  • Familiarity implementing Power Platform governance controls, including environment strategy, DLP policies, connector governance and identity/service account standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills and confidence acting as 3rd line escalation.
  • Strong documentation discipline, including runbooks, SOPs, configuration records and evidence packs.

What will help you succeed

You are a collaborative and delivery-focused specialist who combines strong technical expertise with a structured and pragmatic approach.

You are comfortable working across internal teams and external partners, translating standards and governance into reliable technical execution. You take ownership of complex issues, communicate clearly with stakeholders and continually look for opportunities to improve platform stability, security and operational effectiveness.

You will also demonstrate our leadership competencies by thinking strategically, valuing people, enabling collaboration, driving impact, embracing change and supporting continuous learning.

What you can expect from us

You will join an international and collaborative environment where your expertise will have a visible impact on the security, resilience and performance of our digital platforms.

We will give you the opportunity to:

  • work with enterprise-scale Microsoft identity and collaboration technologies;
  • cooperate with colleagues and partners across multiple markets and functions;
