Main purpose of the job

The Solution Owner owns a portfolio of business applications and has end to end accountability to deliver IS services and initiatives in her/his functional area. This includes business processes knowledge, managing relationship with super users, application vendor management and performance monitoring. With support of the application team, PMO, release management, application architecture and other IS functions is taking full ownership development of dedicated application portfolio under regional strategy.

Solution Owner Will Focus On Following Key Areas

Understands business processes in his/her area and together with functional stakeholders drives synergies where relevant

Takes accountability for application development and projects in dedicated functional area

  • Partners in business processes and IS solutions, highlighting opportunities to improve business performance
  • Accountable  mainly for Source-to-Pay (including treasury) applications and projects
  • Partners with senior stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, Treasury, and Digital teams
  • Demand gathering, classification, approval process, defines use cases
  • Designs solutions within architecture guidelines and continuously evolve regional solution set
  • Project Management, capability to run multiple projects in parallel, in the PM and/or the SO role, applying proper project governance, tools and methodologies
  • Champion regional design and ensures proper integration and retirement of local solutions
  • Facilitates testing of new functionalities, testing case creation and testing execution based on AEI testing standards
  • Change management and super user training to ensure value realization
  • Ensure constant link with service owner and drives project transition to application support
  • Implementing small application changes
  • Ensuring all application changes passed proper change control governance and are documented
  • When required, ensure communication of maintenance releases is communicated to relevant parties
  • Development and execution of application roadmaps/strategies
  • Works closely with application delivery to manage day-to-day support of application services ensuring they are being delivered in a timely and cost efficient way, while keeping regional governance, change control and security standards.
  • Escalation point for specific services
  • Subject matter expert for dedicated application portfolio
  • Develop and engage key/super user network across AEI to facilitate change management and end user training for business applications

 

Accountabilities And Deliverables

  • Takes full accountability on dedicated application portfolio (Development and Maintenance). Managing internal and external resources to maximize overall business value and ensure sustainability.
  • Manages AEI project initiatives and application changes and resources. Ensures active change management and value realization.
  • Manages and engages network of stakeholders and key/super users within geographies where appropriate.

 

Qualification criteria

  • Master degree or equivalent in Technology or business related
  • 5+ years of professional experience with exposure to IT processes methodologies and best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an international environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior business stakeholders and translate business needs into system improvements.
  • Strong experience in Source-to-Pay, Procurement, Accounts Payable or Treasury
  • Experience with SAP ECC / S/4 HANA ecosystem. SAP Materials Management (Procurement) and related modules (f.i. FI/SD)
  • Treasury / banking integrations exposure
  • IT Technologies, Requirements gathering and solution design, Solutions lifecycle, ERP and other systems deployment, analytical and problem solving skills, service oriented mind-set, project management experience
  • Experience leading projects, enhancements, or transformation initiatives.
    Proficiency in English, Microsoft and MS Office
