Functional overview
AEI Innovation aims to identify new opportunities to unlock incremental growth for our business (new products, new categories, evolution of existing brands) and explore new packaging options, technologies and business models for a sustainable future.
It drives innovation efforts ensuring speed to market and competitive advantage through ongoing cross-functional and cross-markets collaboration to maximize synergies.
Main purpose of the job
Responsible for developing innovation propositions based on true consumer insights and linked to innovation technologies to apply to our AEI Brands portfolio (Global Brands and /or Local Brands) to feed the 3-5 Yrs innovation pipeline of Brand agnostic projects.
Responsible for leading and delivering the cross-markets/ cross-brands innovation projects via excellent cross-functional collaboration, acting as main interface between commercial and Op-Co teams for the dedicated innovation projects. Estimates the required operating and capital investments behind each initiative to build robust Business cases.
In scope: new liquid/ New serve devices & solutions / new structural packaging.

Accountabilities and deliverables
From opportunity to concept development and testing
Lead brand agnostic projects from Idea Generation to concept development (Branded/ unbranded)and testing:

Manages idea generation with cross functional teams to deliver innovation ideas that support business and portfolio priorities (across local Brands and Global Brands).

Investigates, searches and analyses trends to predict future opportunities for innovation

Focus on technology scouting that could unlock new solutions to consumer needs or unlock portfolio differentiation & premiumization via collaborating with Procurement and Technical team and attending relevant events.

Develops concepts and creatively manages with external agencies and internal management as required.

Adopts appropriate research methodology and testing procedures, supported by Insights team to enable consumer driven development
Manages technical interface with Op-Co

Acts as key integrator and representative of Com-Co to assigned projects.

Develops technical liquid briefs or packaging development under supervision of Regional head of Innovation and Countries Head of Innovation.
Manages Smartgate

Ensuring proper project planning, gate completion incl. due diligence and resources for assigned projects.
CAPEX planning
Responsible for preparing annual capability requirements related to projects of responsibility including Capex preparation with inputs from Central Manufacturing and Breweries.
Innovation performance tracking

Secures proper NPD evaluation, regular NPD performance tracking and secure course corrections if needed for assigned projects under supervision of Regional Head of Innovation and Countries Head of Innovation.
Qualification criteria

University degree with commercial background.

Minimum 4 years working experience, out of which 2+ years successful experience of brand marketing and/or innovation preferably in an FMCG environment with strong exposure to other disciplines (brand and trade marketing, technical, R&D, procurement)

2+ years successful experience with managing cross functional teams.
