Engineer – Cornish Orchards

We’re looking for a talented Engineer to join our team and ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our site. You’ll play a key role in maintaining our equipment, supporting site projects, and driving improvement initiatives—all while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across Mechanical, Electrical, and IT/OT disciplines.
  • Troubleshooting and solving engineering/manufacturing challenges using proven techniques.
  • Supporting site development and the execution of capital projects.
  • Managing and prioritising maintenance activities with a strong focus on EHS, Food Safety, and production.
  • Controlling engineering spares stock and helping reduce utility costs through continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety, legal standards, calibrations, and safe systems of work.
  • Maintaining 5S standards in the workshop and wider plant.
  • Keeping accurate, timely records and supporting engineering audits.

 

About you

 

We’re looking for someone who brings both technical skill and the right mindset:

 

  • Engineering qualifications/experience – ideally in FMCG or the drinks industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage teams.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP desirable) and confidence with Excel.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to balance individual initiative with team collaboration.
  • Calm under pressure with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and high standards of professionalism.
