IFT Key Account Manager - New Business


Key Purpose Statement:
As an IFT (Independent Free Trade) New Business KAM you will implement Asahi UK’s sales strategy in key opportunity areas in order to meet the company’s new business targets, prioritising winning both high value and profitable accounts. With a key focus on growing AUK brand share and both global and local brand distribution.

  • Uphold, safeguard and promote the organisation's Purpose, Mission and beliefs relating particularly to ethics, integrity and corporate (social and alcohol) responsibility.
  • The primary responsibilities of the IFT New Business KAM are:
  • To achieve Gross Margin & NPR target delivery from new customers to AUK.
  • To achieve annual 12-month rolling New Business HL target. 
  • To develop and drive relationships with supporting New Business colleagues to create a growing and strong pipeline of new business opportunities.   
  • To drive volume of specific brands to all customers in line with the Company’s objectives.

 

Key Accountabilities:

The IFT New Business KAM is responsible for the following key outputs and accountabilities:

  • Deliver £400k of gross margin from new accounts on a 12-month rolling basis.
  • Deliver new business wins at a business aligned rate.

 
Volume delivery:

  • Achieve volume targets on Peroni, Asahi and local brands.

 

Share of AUK brands:

  • Include one 0% SKU within each contract. 

 

Internal relationship management:

  • Represent New Business South team and raise profile of the business unit within the business
  • Represent AUK externally to customer and partner stakeholders

 

Experience Required:

  • Proven sales record within major FMCG or drinks company.
  • Demonstrates strong account management experience.
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of delivering and managing several key projects simultaneously.
  • Structured selling skills demonstrated and can adapt these to a premium environment.
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of brand plans at Point of Purchase
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work on their own.
  • Is accountable for achieving results and takes responsibility for one’s mistakes.
  • Ability to present and communicate to a high standard.

  • Having worked with Premium brands can articulate the benefits of the “Premium” sector.
  • Understands the value of selling a portfolio.
  • Understands the whole concept of the right product for the right outlet/consumer.
  • Can build mutually beneficial business planning i.e., need to understand what the customer wants to achieve then tailor to both their and our needs.
  • Able to show initiative with a balanced approach.
  • Have a good understanding of their current product and can articulate where it sits within its market.
