Supply Planning Executive:
Position Overview & Purpose:
The UK Supply Planning Executive is responsible for supporting product availability across UK and EU produced SKU’s. They are responsible for maintaining target stock levels throughout a complex network of 3PL’s and production facilities and executing daily supply planning activities.
The role works closely with production teams at breweries, logistics, customer service and demand planning to pro-actively identify and resolve supply issues, ensuring products are available to meet demand. The role also supports the 13-week planning process, manages cask inventory and production prioritisation as well as co-ordinating outbound purchase orders for EU breweries, contributing to efficient, cost-effective supply planning.
Key Deliveries & Responsibilities:
Planning:
- Execute daily supply planning activities accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Manage the interdepot planning process for the UK portfolio of SKU’s across multiple production sites and 3PL’s
- Monitor inventory levels across breweries and warehouses to maintain ideal target stock cover, service level and stock freshness.
- Identify supply risks and proactively escalate exceptions with proposed solutions.
- Plan and manage purchase orders for EU breweries
- Monitor cask production cadence and SKU prioritisation to optimise storage capacity and minimise stock write-off
- Support the execution of the 13-week supply plan.
Systems:
- Maintain accurate planning parameters, master data and transactional data to support effective planning
- Review new SKU’s in SAP and maintain in planning systems
- Monitor SAP EDI interfaces and complete manual updates where required
Stakeholders:
- Build effective working relationships with brewery teams, logistics, customer services, demand planning and finance
- Co-ordinate effectively with production sites to ensure products are available for collection within agreed timelines
- Liaise with finance, brewery teams and logistics to resolve delivery discrepancies
- Communicate supply constraints and recovery plans clearly with stakeholders
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reporting and systems
Experience & Qualification Requirements:
- Preferable to have supply planning and/or operational planning experience in an FMCG environment
- Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis
- Power BI/Power Query advantageous
- Knowledge or MRP systems (preferably SAP)
