Head of Innovation – Romania & Hungary Cluster

Location: Romania or Hungary (within the respective market cluster)

Overview:
We are looking for a commercially driven and collaborative Head of Innovation to lead the local innovation agenda across the Romania & Hungary cluster. The role focuses on identifying growth opportunities, developing scalable innovation initiatives, and executing strategic projects that align with AEI’s global innovation strategy. You'll lead a dedicated innovation team, work closely with senior commercial leaders, and be a valued member of the AEI Innovation Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute the innovation pipeline for Romania & Hungary, aligned with AEI’s innovation platforms
* Translate consumer insights into business opportunities across the cluster
* Lead cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Legal, Procurement) to deliver successful launches 
* Drive ROI and commercial performance through innovation
* Ensure robust governance and reporting via AEI’s Smartgate system
* Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team

Requirements:

* 10+ years’ experience in FMCG (preferably in blue-chip companies)
* Proven track record in brand management and innovation delivery
* Strong commercial acumen and P&L responsibility
* Project management and cross-functional leadership experience
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
