Role Overview:

As a Marketing Finance Analyst, you will act as a strategic finance partner for the Marketing team, providing financial insights and decision support to help drive profitable growth. You will bridge finance and marketing, ensuring that marketing investments, promotional activities, and brand initiatives are aligned with business objectives and deliver maximum value. You will support planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis while contributing to effective decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Marketing and Trade Marketing teams to provide financial guidance and challenge business proposals to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
  • Analyze marketing and revenue performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Support marketing decision-making through pre- and post-promotion evaluations and assessment of marketing investment strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate brand, channel, pack, and trade projects, including verification of service delivery and return on investment.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and business performance updates.
  • Support monthly accruals and manage year-end accrual processes related to Marketing and Trade Marketing spending.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop budgets, forecasts, and medium-term business plans.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with Brand and Trade Marketing teams, highlighting risks, opportunities, and improvement actions
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, legal requirements, and expenditure governance processes.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Marketing, Revenue Management, and Finance teams.

Requirements:

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Finance, Revenue Management, Commercial Finance, or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience within the FMCG industry in Romania.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to generate actionable business insights.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and confidently challenge business assumptions using data and financial analysis.
  • Strong financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting capabilities.
  • Business fluency in Romanian and English

 

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience partnering with Marketing, Trade Marketing, or Revenue Management teams.
  • Experience evaluating promotional effectiveness and marketing ROI.
  • Exposure to multinational or matrix organizations.
  • Knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk management processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving business improvements.
  • Curiosity, business acumen, and a continuous improvement mindset.
