Role Overview:
As Senior On Premise Manager, you will be a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team, working within the defined On Premise & Events channel strategy and contributing to its evolution through strong market insight and executional feedback.
The role has full ownership of the development, deployment and execution of the annual integrated On Premise activity plan, ensuring that approved activations are delivered effectively across the channel, in close collaboration with Sales and external partners.
You will be responsible for translating channel strategy into impactful, consumer- and customer-relevant activations, managing agency partners, and ensuring disciplined execution against agreed budgets, KPIs and timelines. A strong understanding of the HoReCa channel, category dynamics and consumer behaviour is essential to build relevant activity plans and drive in-market performance.
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead the annual On Premise activity plan, based on market trends, consumer insights and input from Sales and HQ teams, with the clear objective of delivering financial results and strong in-market execution.
- Track the execution of the activity plan, assess what works and what doesn’t, and adjust actions when needed to ensure annual targets are met.
- Define clear execution guidelines by brand and outlet type, such as availability standards, menu formats and activation mechanics, to ensure consistent and relevant execution in market.
- Develop and manage:
- The integrated activation plan for the On Premise channel
- Investment efficiency and optimization, using channel KPIs and ROI metrics
- Category and channel growth initiatives at customer and outlet level
- Provide practical input on future channel development, based on consumer behaviour, emerging trends, digital solutions and innovative activation or POSM ideas.
- Work closely with external agencies and manage agency delivery at senior level, ensuring activations are creative, relevant and executable in the market.
- Ensure all Trade Marketing activities are fully compliant with internal standards and governance.
- Strengthen Trade Marketing ways of working and capabilities across the wider commercial organization.
- Lead, coach and develop his/her On Premise team, including performance management, development planning and talent progression.
Requirements:
Must have:
- Proven experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, Marketing or Innovation within a multinational FMCG environment.
- Deep understanding of the On Premise channel, with at least 5+ years in a dedicated On Premise role.
- Strong financial acumen, with hands-on experience managing budgets, investments, and ROI.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including team development and performance management.
- Ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and engage senior stakeholders.
- Fluent English and native Romanian.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with BTL agencies and managing large-scale shopper and customer activations.
- Exposure to category growth strategy and revenue management at channel or customer level.
- Experience contributing to long-term commercial or channel strategy in a leadership forum.
- Familiarity with digital activation solutions and innovative POSM approaches.
