Role Overview:
The Trade Insights Specialist contributes to the Trade & Channel Insight agenda by building business knowledge and supporting faster, easier and more effective decision-making and strategy formulation for the local AEI business.
The role works closely with commercial functions to deliver actionable, data-driven insights that shape category, channel, and commercial strategies.
Responsibilities:
Insight Generation & Commercial Support
- Deliver regular, objective analysis and insights to support day-to-day needs of Marketing, Sales, Revenue and Trade Marketing.
- Support the SP&I (Strategy, Planning & Insights) team in providing robust, consistent, insight-driven knowledge aligned with the business cycle.
- Contribute to Local Category Strategy development through Trade & Channel understanding.
Business Analysis & Strategic Inputs
- Provide data and insights for business reviews within the category structure.
- Contribute to market and category scenario modelling to support strategic reviews (in collaboration with relevant teams).
- Support the Innovation agenda with Trade & Channel inputs.
Planning & Methodology
- Contribute to local Trade & Channel insights for short- and mid-term planning processes, ensuring high-quality inputs into commercial plans.
- Support implementation of Trade & Channel insight methodologies, processes, tools, and research protocols.
- Support excellence in brand, business, and channel IAP planning, ensuring insights guide “where to play” and “how to win”.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate effectively with local Marketing, Sales, Revenue and Trade Marketing teams
- Collaborate effectively with local and regional Insight teams for innovation support.
- Contribute to the local Corporate Affairs & Sustainability agenda with insight support for stakeholder messaging and category image management.
Requirements (must have):
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in a Commercial, Math, Finance, Sociology or Economics-related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Insights or Data Analysis role.
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting commercial strategy or category development through analytics.
- Experience working with large datasets, extracting insights, interpreting results objectively and formulating actionable recommendations.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong analytical skills; ability to link multiple internal and external data sources.
- Ability to generate stable, actionable insights, grounded in strong market and category understanding.
- Proactive, results-driven, curious, resilient, and a strong team player.
- Confident presenter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced English level.
