Role Overview:

The Brewery Performance Manager coordinates and drives operational performance management, continuous improvement, and organizational transformation in the brewery. The role ensures the implementation of the Asahi Way practices and the brewery’s long-term roadmap, balancing performance results (KPIs) with sustainable processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and monitor the Operational Performance Roadmap for the brewery.
  • Lead the brewery-wide implementation of Asahi Way programs, ensuring ambitious SQDCME (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Motivation, Environment) targets are achieved.
  • Manage loss deployment, KPI improvement plans, and ensure sustainable performance through coaching and assessment.
  • Coordinate the Performance Management process (KPI Tree, team goals, Short Interval Management).
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through reviews, problem-solving, and improvement projects.
  • Oversee plant savings programs, working with Finance to deliver cost efficiencies.
  • Assess maturity of Asahi Way implementation, propose required resources and budgets.
  • Develop and execute the competence acquisition plan (functional, legal, technical, managerial skills) in alignment with HR.
  • Monitor training and budget execution, proposing corrective actions where needed.
  • Benchmark brewery performance against peers and implement best practices.
  • Propose and coordinate automation and digitalization initiatives to improve productivity and engagement.
  • Lead/support systemic problem-solving and ensure learnings are documented and shared.
  • Build brewery staff capabilities in Asahi Way fundamentals, delivering relevant trainings.

 

 

 

Requirements (must have):

  • 3–5 years of experience in Integrated Supply Chain (preferably production or logistics).
  • 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in process excellence practices (e.g. SIM, 5S, Autonomous Maintenance, Loss Deployment, Driving System).
  • University degree.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Proficient English (written and spoken).

 

Requirements (nice to have):

  • Experience in Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement programs.
  • Exposure to automation and digitalization projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with performance data analysis.
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels.
  • Experience in training, coaching, and capability building.
