Role Overview:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the maintenance function within the brewery to ensure maximum equipment reliability and efficiency. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the complete maintenance lifecycle, from developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance strategies aligned with the Maintenance (MTCE) Pillar and Asahi Way standards, to managing the team and budget. Your primary purpose is to optimize production line performance, lead and develop a high-performing team, and effectively manage the maintenance budget, all while fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving. You will ensure the highest standards of safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance across all production equipment and building infrastructure, driving initiatives that minimize downtime and optimize costs.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy for the brewery in accordance with the Asahi Way and Maintenance Pillar standards.
- Operational Efficiency: Drive the efficiency of maintenance for all production lines and equipment through the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Budget & Inventory Management: Effectively develop and manage the entire maintenance budget, including optimizing spare parts stock based on equipment criticality to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising operations.
- Risk & Facility Management: Ensure comprehensive risk management across the brewery (e.g., earthquake, fire, chemical accidents) and oversee the maintenance of all buildings and infrastructure.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Performance Reporting: Provide regular reports on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and budget adherence, offering data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion a continuous improvement mindset, identifying and implementing process improvements, new technologies, and cost-saving initiatives within the maintenance department.
Requirements (must have):
- Technical University degree (Mechanic or Automation Engineer background).
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a maintenance role.
- Minimum 3 years of proven managerial experience, including leading and developing a team.
- Proven experience in strategic maintenance planning and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and optimize costs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Requirements (nice to have):
- Experience in the food and beverage, FMCG.
- Certification in maintenance management or reliability engineering (e.g., CMRP).
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
- Experience in project management.
