Sales Finance Controller

 

As a Sales Finance Controller, you will join an experienced 9-person Sales Finance team that supports the business in making key financial decisions. You will act as a crucial business partner for the Sales team, being responsible for the financial support and control of the largest franchise and local retail networks in Poland. Your role will include shaping and executing the commercial strategy, monitoring profitability and operational effectiveness, and actively supporting negotiations with demanding, experienced business partners. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys challenges and dares to question the status quo to make a real impact on the company’s performance. Your Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement customer strategies and analyze their financial effectiveness

  • Assess customer profitability, analyze variances, and provide business commentary

  • Support the Sales team in negotiations by delivering data, insights, and recommendations

  • Ensure commercial activities comply with company policies and procedures

  • Develop, monitor, and optimize budgets and long-term plans

  • Coordinate financial processes, including month-end closing, in cooperation with a junior controller

  • Build and strengthen relationships with experienced Key Account Managers and the Sales team

 

Our Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Sales Finance or Financial Controlling role, preferably in the FMCG sector

  • Proven experience working with Sales teams and supporting commercial negotiations

  • University degree in finance, economics, or a related field

  • Proficiency in both Polish and English at a minimum C1 level

  • Advanced Excel skills, as well as experience with analytical tools and databases

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to influence business decisions

  • Assertiveness and readiness to work in a demanding, dynamic environment

  • Proactive mindset, initiative, and courage to challenge existing solutions

  • Willingness to relocate to Poland
