Senior Legal Counsel

Location: Warsaw

 

Role Summary:


As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide expert legal guidance and support to Kompania Piwowarska’s commercial and operational teams. This role offers an opportunity to influence key business decisions, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and contribute to our strategic goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a trusted legal advisor for key business areas, including procurement, marketing, trade marketing, and HoReCa
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents in line with applicable laws and internal policies
  • Providing legal support in disputes with suppliers/clients—from early risk assessment, through negotiation and settlement discussions, to cooperation with external law firms when needed
  • Ongoing support for other business teams in the area of personal data protection
  • Overseeing compliance with data protection regulations, including participation in risk analyses, data protection impact assessments, and incident management
  • Coordinating external law firms in disputes and other areas requiring specialist support
  • Leading and managing legal projects end-to-end, with full ownership of assigned areas—from risk analysis and recommendations to delivering solutions in cooperation with the business
  • Participating in strategic projects and collaborating with the global legal team on compliance programs and risk management initiatives

 

Qualifications:

  • Law degree and qualification as a legal counsel (radca prawny)
  • At least 5 years of experience in an independent role (in-house or in a law firm with direct business exposure)
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial law, intellectual property law, and data protection law; knowledge of competition law or labor law is a plus
  • Ability to explain complex legal issues in simple terms
  • “Can-do” attitude—you look for options and solutions rather than focusing on limitations
  • Openness to new tools, ideas, and ways of working
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience working directly with business teams and advising on complex projects
  • Experience in an international environment (nice to have)
