LOCAL CATEGORY MANAGER CZ&SK - HG17

We are looking for an experienced Local Category Manager to join our team, with a focus on Marketing Materials and Professional Business Services. In this managerial role, you will lead a team with direct reports while working closely with regional and global procurement teams. The working environment is international; therefore, English is essential.

What will you be responsible for?

• Leading and developing a team of buyers focused on Marketing Materials and Professional Business Services – mentoring, skills development, and knowledge sharing.

• Collaboration with regional and global procurement teams – the procurement hub is based in Singapore.

• Strategic Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and ensuring a responsible approach to procurement.

• Close cooperation with Sales, HR, and Facility departments in identifying and implementing innovations.

• Monitoring feedback from internal stakeholders and ensuring compliance with contractual conditions.

• Negotiating with suppliers.

• Identifying opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.

• Supporting and delivering e-sourcing activities.

We are looking for someone who:

• Matches the profile of a senior manager with at least 5 years of experience in procurement.

• Has proven experience in people management.

• Is familiar with corporate, manufacturing, and logistics processes.

• Demonstrates strategic thinking and the ability to identify opportunities as well as risks.

• Possesses strong analytical skills and an understanding of business processes.

• Wants to use excellent English skills for daily communication within an international team.

• Also uses Czech or Slovak at a minimum C1 level – daily verbal and written communication.

• Is open to new technologies.

It will be an advantage if you:

• Have experience in the FMCG or manufacturing sector.

• Excel in communication and negotiation skills.

• Are able to build long-term relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Have experience with change management.
