KEY PURPOSE STATEMENT

 

The Sales Enablement Manager will be responsible for leading Asahi Canada’s insights strategy, enabling commercial and marketing with sound data and actionable outputs to deliver commercial growth. As the owner accountable for the new to world Asahi Canada CRM platform, this individual will be charged with ensuring embedment, adherence and enablement of the sales platform and enabling growth through leveraging the tool to make sound field and head office strategic decisions that power our business forward and deliver against our commitment of premiumization. Strategic insight and support to evolve our commercial plans, track and measure in accordance with KPIs, and enable growth through visibility and accountability, inclusive of communication to regional sales teams.

 

 

ROLE OVERVIEW

 

The Sales Enablement Manager will be responsible for the oversight and execution of local consumer and customer business insight initiatives, ensuring the brand and commercial strategy is properly reinforced and represented in market. The Sales Enablement Manager will liaise with global counterparts to leverage assets, as required, to be adapted for the local market; initiate deep dives in owned data to create impactful and influential selling stories for Brand Marketing and Commercial teams, and ultimately enable the commercial engine to deliver the sales plan with breakthrough data point to unlock growth. As identified and required through the monthly business performance cycle, the Sales Enablement Manager will support with external (customer, 3rd party) data and publish performance reports to empower the cross-functional teams to action opportunities with pace, intersect challenges, and deliver fact-based planning with measurable outcomes.

 

Through wholly owned data collected through the Asahi Canada CRM platform, the Sales Enablement Manager will be charged with ensuring that data hygiene process are adhered to, that the teams feel empowered to leverage in sales appointments, and ultimately to be the centre of excellence for the CRM tool to maximise the value of insight.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Data & Reporting

  • Act as manager of key monthly commercial reports, ensuring timely and accurate publishing; review and improve report structures to continuously improve internal resources and champion ‘insight to action’ mindset
    • Continuously optimize reporting structures to enhance business insights.
    • Manage monthly commercial reports and ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
    • Promote an “insight to action” culture across commercial teams.

 

CRM Champion

  • Participate in launch of new CRM platform for Asahi Canada, including embedment of training and acting as centre of excellence for the tool
    • Support launch and ongoing improvements of the new CRM platform.
    • Provide training, guidance, and best practices to drive adoption.
    • Act as the centre of excellence for CRM usage and insights.

 

 

Consumer and Customer Insights

  • Work with Asahi Global Insights and Regional Insights functions to engage, learn and lift key commissioned reports to enable Asahi Canada with the latest intelligence from the global Asahi enterprise; act as liaison between other Market Insights teams to enhance or refresh documents for Canada’s use
    • Collaborate with global, regional, and local insights teams to access and adapt reports for the Canadian market.
    • Refresh and enhance insights materials based on evolving needs.

 

Customer & Commercial facing support

  • Support Key Accounts with ad hoc requirements, inclusive of customer engagement
    • Provide ad hoc analytical and presentation support for Key Account teams.
    • Support customer engagement initiatives with data‑driven insights.

 

Learning & Development

  • Support talent & capability development goals of Asahi Canada by working alongside each department to conduct educational and training sessions, targeting to enable the organization
    • Partner with internal departments to deliver capability‑building and training sessions.
    • Support the organization’s talent development goals through education and insight enablement.

 

 

Leadership

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to one direct report, Retail Sales Analyst, fostering analytical excellence, prioritization, and capability-building to elevate commercial decision‑making and support business growth.
    • Coach and develop the Retail Sales Analyst, fostering strong analytical output and prioritization skills.
    • Promote analytical excellence and capability building to elevate decision‑making across teams.

 

KEY CAPABILITIES REQUIRED

 

  • University degree in Business or related field
  • Experience in the field of CPG/alcoholic beverages in Canada (5 years minimum)
  • Commercial business and sales orientation with a strict focus on results, with a proven track record; Experience in Sales / Commercial Marketing is an asset
  • Budget development and tracking experience
  • Self-sufficient, independently driven and a keen problem solver; action to insight
  • Strong communicator, and ability to influence
  • Passionate about enabling growth, enjoys process improvement and/or curious in new methodologies
  • Some evening work and travel required
