Packaging Manager
With your strong management skills, you add significant value to Koninklijke Grolsch!
How? As the Packaging Production Manager at Koninklijke Grolsch.
Why? Because you know how to combine strong people-management skills with experience in driving the productivity of a production plant.
Where? At our brewery in Enschede. If you do not live nearby but are looking for a challenge like this, do not hesitate to apply — we would be happy to start the conversation with you.
With whom? With our Packaging Department and your Management Team colleagues within our Integrated Supply Chain organization.
As the Packaging Production Manager…
…you are responsible for the entire Packaging Department of Koninklijke Grolsch. Your goal? To ensure that the 170 employees responsible for packaging our wonderful beers can work efficiently and safely. How? With a strong focus on performance, continuous improvement, leadership, and ownership, you ensure that the production strategy is not only executed but also safeguarded and continuously refined. Together with your direct reports, who share responsibility for the performance of the packaging department, you translate this strategy into practical implementation for colleagues who work daily on maintaining, operating, and improving our production installations.
As Packaging Production Manager, you report directly to our Technical Director, are part of the Integrated Supply Chain Management Team, and are responsible for the total output of our Packaging Production Department, including the maintenance team.
You are responsible for:
-
Directly managing a team of Unit Managers (including maintenance) and an ISC Performance Manager (with a brewery-wide continuous improvement team), and indirectly managing a team of shift team leaders, continuous improvement specialists, process engineers, technicians, and operators.
-
Managing change and improvement processes and ensuring that the Packaging Department operates according to these methods.
-
Safeguarding sustainability initiatives within our Packaging Department.
-
Managing and monitoring health and safety risks in close cooperation with our Safety, Health & Wellbeing department and our Quality department.
-
Together with your team, holding ultimate responsibility for packaging our beers (kegs, bottles, cans, crates) and ensuring that this always meets the required quality standards.
We are looking for a Packaging Production Manager who continuously improves!
You are a team player and a strong people manager with the leadership skills needed to guide the team. You have a strong personality, easily navigate an organization with many departments and stakeholders, and know how to translate your vision on managing packaging production productivity into practice.
This means you can convince both management and your team and motivate them to move forward. With your strong communication skills, you are able to inspire and motivate people. You are a role model that others look up to. By driving change, you make a constructive contribution to a winning team within our organization.
We are looking for a talented leader who is also open to opportunities and development within our international Asahi organization. This vacancy, for example, has arisen because our colleague (the former Packaging Production Manager) is progressing to a Brewery Plant Manager position at one of our sister breweries.
What else do we expect to see on your CV?
-
A completed university degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a comparable technical MSc.
-
At least 10 years of relevant work experience in production and technically related processes within the FMCG sector.
-
7+ years of leadership experience in a production environment (experience with overall management of a production plant is a strong plus).
-
Experience in defining and translating a strategic direction.
-
Excellent command of English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
